I like the basics. I am a huge fan of basics. Every time I do not know what to do, I think .. what did I do last time, and can I improve the way I did it? (Also called maturing your solutions). If not happened before, develop a way, but keep it simple .. and for gods sake, keep it in mind. I realize many people chose a whole different approach when not knowing what to do .. they chose an alternative way, sometimes an development, sometimes … just alternative. How else would individualism become so popular as it flourished in the 90’s, moving away from populism, acting like the herd we were proud to belong to, and which kept us safe, because we relied on eachother and we had a codex. However, we still like to learn from eachother and gaining insight in eachothers lives and way of living .. blogging is a good example of that. Some even made a career and living out of it.
But I like the basics. Basics are … simple, safe and easier to learn from – by this I of course mean that the basics are logic – to develop analytically without getting lost in the proces, being able have the full overview and predict issues before they occur. Basics is (in this case a unity) like a baseline – a median slower moving than most developments, however moving proportional to development, using loads of statistics compared to other statistics and the results there of. We like statistics, it very often even becomes a form of wisdom, an insight, excluding the deviants.
From a technical point of view the deviants are far more interesting than the norm, or the baseline. We actually develop a baseline in order to exclude it, so the deviant is far easier to spot.
